The student must be able to differentiate eighth notes with and without slurs and know when two note slurs occur so that a proper resolution of sound can be expressed. Some measures require a lot of hand position changes, therefore precision is required to ensure minimal wrong notes. Changing fingers on the same note is also an exercise within the piece. Dynamics change on recurring material to ensure a distinct playing of one from the other; therefore students should be aware of this change and try to come up with imaginative variations in terms of dynamics.
